After we saw Mr. Douglas’ courageous, powerful and moving one man show about his life recently in Los Angeles, we could not resist, but to contact his agent, who was quite open to discussing the idea of Mr. Douglas participating in the film … but would not give us access to him formally until we had the financing process in a more advanced stage.
A number of well known legendary actors have read and loved this script.
As for the role of Casey, our teen-skinhead, and we may end up with an up-and coming actress – it is so exciting to launch a new talent into the world, as the director has done several times in the past, with Yasmine Bleeth in “Hey Babe!” and Leighton Meester in “Hangman’s Curse”, as an example. The script has attracted several amazing young actresses including Natalie Portman who was passionate about as the project, but the financing did not come together at that time.
The trailer was voiced by Anna Jacoby Heron whom Steve Soderbergh discovered and cast in last year’s “Contagion”.
